What is peace? I had a glimpse of it tonight that left me in tears… I don't remember the last time that I was able to just sit and be… to not have my mind going to a million other tasks at once. To just sit and think of nothing.
To feel God's pleasure, one of my favorite quotes of all times is from the movie "Chariots of Fire"… (it's about a missionary to China and also a great runner) well long story short, his sister is pushing him and asking why he runs all the time, and his answer is "WHEN I RUN… I FEEL HIS PLEASURE". Although I had really no clue to the depth of this statement, it has been a quote that has stuck with me ever since I was younger…
But one thing that I felt tonight was HIS pleasure when I was doing nothing but sitting at my dinner table, worshipping HIM. That's strange for me to sit down and do nothing, to not be thinking about a million other things, but to just sit and worship HIM… to let HIM come to me and fill me. Doing good things in life is important… but if there is no time to WORSHIP HIM, to have relationship with HIM… then what am I really living for?
